The Panamanian Folkloric Encounters in the United States have encouraged Panamanian folkloric groups to come together
to share their common passion for the culture, music, and dance of Panama.
The idea emerged with a concept of annually choosing a different city in the United States to be the event host,
during the encounter folkloric groups meet to dance to showcase their repertoire,
and network to promote Panamanian culture and traditions thru its folklore.
